Turkey's inflation rises slightly in August
Turkey's consumer and producer prices indices rose slightly in August.

Turkey is passing through a period of drastic change in its energy sector, according to a report released recently by Deloitte Turkey’s energy and natural resources department.

Turkey's inflation rises slightly in August

Turkey's statistical authority, TurkStat, announced Friday that consumer prices increased by 0.40 percent and producer prices climbed 1.15% month-on-month in August.

TurkStat said that the annual inflation as of August was 8.33% in consumer prices and 9.03% in producer prices.

The inflation in the first eight months of 2010 has been 3.50% in consumer prices and 5.98% in producer prices.
